Bursary applications: now open for 2024/25
Applications for bursaries for the academic year 2024/25 are now open for new students from Black, Asian or Minority Ethnic / Global Majority backgrounds.
As part of our commitment to becoming a more inclusive education provider, we offer a number of bursaries each year to new students from Black, Asian or Minority Ethnic / Global Majority backgrounds, who qualify for Home fees status. Each bursary comprises assistance with the cost of tuition fees and a number of mentoring sessions.
This year, bursaries are available for applicants planning to undertake the following postgraduate courses from September 2024:
- Systemic approaches to working with individuals, families and organisations (D4F, foundation)
- Emotional care of babies, children, young people and families (EC1)
- Consulting and leading in organisations: psychodynamic and systemic approaches (D10)
- Psychological therapies with children, young people and families (M34)
Bursaries can be awarded to two students on each programme of study, covering half (50%) of the cost of the course fees and some mentoring sessions – a combination that has been valued by previous recipients:
- ‘Thank you for the great support, I believe the mentor was a great addition to the study experience, I was able to discuss my personal experiences and growth in a very enriching way.‘
- ‘The bursary was helpful in easing the financial cost of the training.’
- ‘My mentee experience has been highly valuable. My mentor has been a patient, active listener who has provided me with protected 1:1 time, they have been enthusiastic and willing to answer questions, provide feedback, and helped me find solutions on my own.’
The deadline for applying for a bursary for the coming academic year 2024/25 will be Friday 30 August 2024, with interviews taking place in early September. If you have any questions about the process or your eligibility, please get in touch.
