Library spaces
The library at the Tavistock Centre has a variety of separate spaces and facilities to help you study, work and research
Find the library on the ground floor of the Tavistock Centre. It has three separate areas for you to use: a main library space, computer room and book room. All library spaces can be used by current students, all Trust staff, current TSP members and paid individual or corporate members.
Using the library spaces
- Wifi connection is available by using Free NHS Wifi
- Seated study spaces have power and charging sockets for your devices
- Please don’t make or take calls anywhere in the library
- Drinks must be in a lidded bottle or cup, but no food can be consumed in any of the library spaces

Main library space
- Library enquiry desk
- Variety of seated study desks where you can use your own devices
- Comfy chairs for more leisurely reading
- PCs for searching the catalogue
- Group Study Pod for working with up to four colleagues
- Print collections for Research Methods, Study Skills, comics, novels and poetry
- New books and the latest print journal issues
- DVD collection
- Quiet conversation only in this area
Computer room
- PCs with Microsoft Office software
- Spaces to use your own laptop with the option to connect your device to a monitor, keyboard and mouse
- Printer/copier
- Height-adjustable desk
- Large presentation screen
- Print journals for browsing
- Quiet conversation only in this area
Book room
- Main book collection
- Silent study only in this space – no talking or phone calls
- You can use a laptop in this area but switch off any audio or alerts
