Children and Young People's Mental Health Lead

Jo John is the children and young people’s mental health lead in the NHS East of England regional team and has for the past two years provided leadership and support to the 6 local Integrated Care Systems to deliver the NHS Long-Term plan priorities. The programme of work includes mental health support teams, crisis, eating disorders, access and outcomes and more recently the new CYP Mental Health Champions roles. Prior to this Jo was the CYP mental health strategic commissioner in Suffolk & North East Essex and led the delivery of the Five Year Forward View. Jo has previously worked in senior leadership roles within care quality and the commissioning of adult social care within Local Government. Jo is passionate and committed to system wide partnership working to improve population outcomes with coproduction at the heart.
