Literature searching

Video guides to help you find the material you need when using online resources

Literature searching is an important part of studying and researching. The library has developed the series of video guides below to take you through all stages of the literature search process.

You’ll learn the importance of developing a strategy, how to use techniques such as Boolean operators and lots more. Some of the techniques described can be applied across many of our resources, but you’ll also get advice on how to get the most out of the library’s main EBSCO databases.

Group training sessions on literature searching are available from our information skills librarian. One-to-one sessions are available to staff and students who have registered a disability or learning difficulties with the Trust. Find out more on our information skills page.
