Taking a compassionate stance when working with refugees
Watch a recording of our free webinar
What was the webinar about?
The theme of Refugee Week 2023 was compassion. In this free webinar, we invited participants to consider how this looks in action – for refugees and asylum seekers, and for those who work with them.
Drawing on a range of academic and therapeutic insights, Systemic Psychotherapist Nsimire Bisimwa explored the concept of a ‘compassionate stance’, offering examples and ideas to illustrate how this could relate to different professional contexts.
This webinar recording offers a deeper and clearer understanding of the refugee experience, and what it really means to work with compassion – for oneself and others.
Who is this webinar recording for?
This free webinar recording is for you if you currently work, or aspire to work, with asylum-seeking and refugee people – or if you are interested in learning more about this area during Refugee Week 2023 and beyond.
