Mental health in schools: leadership and wellbeing in secondary settings

Part of a series of free webinars on mental health leadership in educational settings

Tuesday 25 April 2023: 4 – 5pm

In this webinar on Tuesday 25 April 2022, Heather Daulphin, will explore the range of mental health and wellbeing challenges presented in secondary school settings and how students, and staff, can be supported with these.

You’ll learn how to approach these challenges – including anxieties linked to the transition from primary to secondary settings, maintaining and forming friendships, social media, sexuality, young adulthood and handling high expectations from family members. We’ll also explore how eating disorders, self-harm and non-attendance can be symptomatic of these anxieties.

The session will consist of a presentation followed by a Q&A session – where you’ll have the chance to have your questions answered live.

Who is this webinar for?

This webinar is suitable for senior leaders with responsibility for mental and emotional health – or aspiring leaders who want to gain more knowledge and experience in this work. Safeguarding officers, designated safeguarding leads and senior mental health leads will also find this event helpful.

This event is part of a webinar series. As well as this session, we hosted an earlier webinar that’ll introduce you to the topic of mental health leadership in educational settings. Learn more about the series.
