Child and Adolescent Psychoanalytic Psychotherapist

Elizabeth Anscombe, is a Child and Adolescent Psychoanalytic Psychotherapist trained at the Tavistock Clinic and qualified in 2009. She is a highly specialist and lead Adolescent Psychotherapist for Eating Disorders at The Royal Free Hospital, where she has worked for the last 17 years. She undertakes assessments, treats patients and has set up groups for adolescents who are being treated for an eating disorder. Elizabeth has set up, designed and is the course organiser for ‘Psychodynamic Approaches and an Introduction To Eating Disorders’, which has been successfully running for the last 10 years. Elizabeth also teaches at the Anna Freud centre, the SAP and BPF.

Elizabeth previously worked as an Art Psychotherapist, having trained at Goldsmiths College, she likes to incorporate her art therapy skills in the psychodynamic work when treating the young people and when Elizabeth teaches and gives presentations she likes to use visual imagery to illustrate psychoanalytic concepts.
