Adi Steiner
Psychodynamic psychotherapist and senior clinical social worker
Adi Steiner is a psychodynamic psychotherapist, lecturer and senior social worker.
Adi has been working at the Tavistock Centre since 2013 as lecturer, tutor and supervisor in mental health and social care, planning and delivering training to various professionals. Adi was previously the course lead for the post-graduate course, Child, adolescent and family mental health and well-being: multidisciplinary practice (D24), and is currently the course lead for the CPD course, Talking to children about difficult things.
Adi has worked in the field of social work and mental health for twenty years and in the past ten years mainly in CAMHS as a senior practitioner. Her current clinical work is in a private practice seeing young people and adults for individual psychotherapy, with special interest in complex trauma and relational difficulties. Adi also co-leads on the international student groups and teaches on various courses including the Social work (D23) MA and the Perinatal mental health postgraduate module (PN1).
Adi’s main research interest is reflective practice and reflective capacity and its development.
