D12, ED12 and D65 open event for historically excluded and currently under-represented groups

Join an informal event exploring the start of our adult mental health training pathway and sharing information, experiences and insights to support your own journey into this field.

If you are interested in pursuing a career in adult psychoanalytic or psychodynamic psychotherapy – and come from a group which has historically been excluded and/or is currently under-represented in this profession – this online open event is for you.

You’ll learn more about…

During this informal, online event, you will have the opportunity to:

  • Meet in small groups with qualified psychotherapists and alumni, who will discuss their experiences of psychotherapy training and answer your questions.
  • Share your own hopes, fears, motivations and goals around training in this field, and hear from other prospective applicants.
  • Discuss the importance of increasing the diversity of our mental health workforce to better support the populations we serve, and our commitment to becoming a more inclusive education provider.
  • Get key information about our Introduction to counselling and psychotherapy (D12 / ED12) and Psychodynamic reflective practice in mental health (D65) courses, including what to expect from the application process, and the details of bursaries available for the coming academic year.

You will also have time to ask any questions you may have about the courses.
