Nimisha Deakin

Nimisha is a CAMHS (children and adolescent mental health services) Nurse and Head of Gloucester House Outreach Service and has 30 years of experience working in mental health services.
She has worked with children and families in a range of services, including inpatient, community, early intervention for children with first-onset psychosis, and school services. Previously, she worked in the London Borough of Hackney to deliver integrated mental health services in schools and later joined the national Targeted Mental Health in Schools’ initiative.
Nimisha regularly delivers a range of training to school staff, young people, and parents. She has a passion for facilitating reflective practice groups and building capacity within teams to better understand and support children’s mental health needs thus allowing them to access learning. She also has extensive experience in training staff in resilience building for staff teams working with children and young people, risk management, understanding mental health, stress and anxiety.
