Tavistock Centre Open Day
A morning of discovery and discussion.
Earlier this month, we opened our doors for our first in-person open day since 2020 – welcoming new and familiar faces to the Tavistock Centre for a morning of discovery and discussion.
The day began in the Lecture Theatre, with a welcome and introduction from our Dean of Postgraduate Studies, Elisa Reyes-Simpson, followed by a packed Student Panel Q&A Session, chaired by Director of Communications and Marketing, Laure Thomas.
Five students shared their experiences and perspectives in response to questions from the audience, with topics ranging from how to fit study around other personal and professional commitments, and support for finding a suitable placement, to how to know when the time is right for a career change.
We then moved to our course-specific sessions – each one an opportunity to meet our course leads and facilitators, learn more about our training pathways, and get advice on applications. Fuelled by plenty of refreshments, the sessions were characterised by lively conversation and thoughtful questions.
What’s next?
We’re now looking ahead to our next open events – with an online open day scheduled for Saturday 24 June, and a range of course-specific open events also taking place over the coming weeks and months.
If you’re exploring postgraduate training opportunities this year, we encourage you to register for an event, and get all the information you need to take the next steps on your academic or professional journey.
