Judith is an executive coach and organisational consultant, with a background in clinical psychology. Formerly Director of Tavistock Consulting, she has had more than 25 years’ experience of consulting to individuals, groups, teams and organisations across all sectors using a systems psychodynamic approach. Judith attaches importance to the shared discovery of meaning in the work, helping clients to understand what affects who they are at work and how they take up their roles. She seeks to create a containing context in which her clients can think clearly, work collaboratively and exercise their creativity.

Judith is a teacher and trainer in consultancy practice and research and in executive coaching. With Deirdre Moylan, she set up the Tavistock and Portman’s professional doctorate in Advanced practice and research: consultation and the organisation(D10D), which she led for 13 years. Judith continues to supervise doctoral students and get great pleasure from supporting their innovative research projects. She previously directed the Tavistock and Portman’s Executive coaching programme – Tavistock Consulting (ECP) and MA course in Working with Groups. Judith currently teaches and supervises at Ashridge Business School and INSEAD.

She is currently researching how clients and coaches experience racial differences in the coaching dyad and is interested in attachment and trust in coaching.
