Successful completion of this three-year, funded training allows participants to apply for chartered status with the British Psychological Society (BPS) and register with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).
Please note that applications to this course are managed centrally through the Association of Educational Psychologists.
During this free, online session, you will have the opportunity to:
- Meet current students and staff members
- Explore the course content and structure
- Learn about the application and interview process.
You’ll learn more about…
- Our course philosophy, organisation and delivery
- How we recruit and select students for our programme
- Fees and funding through the Department for Education
- What it means to train in a working mental health clinic
- Some of the opportunities and challenges associated with undertaking a three-year, full time professional doctorate
- How to find out more about the task and function of educational psychologists working in schools and community contexts.
There will also be time to ask any questions you may have.
Who is this event for?
This event is for anyone wishing to become an educational psychologist (EP) and serves as a general introduction to our M4 training.
Please note: On Thursday 17 October, we are running an additional open event for prospective applicants from historically excluded and/or currently under-represented groups. This second session will provide further time and space to meet current students and EPs, share reflections, and ask questions, and should be seen as a supplement to our event on Thursday 3 October, which offers a general introduction to the course. Find out more and book your place.
