Welcome Week 2026

Last week we welcomed a new cohort of postgraduate students to Tavistock Education and Training.

Running before the start of each new academic year, Welcome Week ensures that new postgraduate students begin their journey at Tavistock Education and Training with the support, information and connections they need to succeed.

This year’s Welcome Week took place from Monday 21 to Saturday 26 September 2026, and included a range of online sessions and in-person activities at the Tavistock Centre in London.

All new students were invited to join course and student services inductions, while students who will be seeing patients at our Trust also attended a clinical induction.

Daily registration sessions, drop-in surgeries and one-to-one meetings ensured that students were able to progress important enrolment and administrative tasks with support from our professional services teams.

The programme also featured a range of social events and activities, including a “Sip and Paint” workshop, “curious coffees” and afternoon tea. Our Student and Trainee Groups ran in-person and online drop-in sessions throughout the week.

Induction and orientation activities will continue as the new academic year gets underway, and we wish all our new students every success in the weeks, months and years ahead!
