Wilfried Datler

Head of Research and Training Analyst

Wilfried Datler is the head of the research unit “Psychoanalysis and Education” of the Department of Education at the University of Vienna. He is responsible for psychoanalytically oriented Master courses at the Postgraduate Centre of the University of Vienna. The relation between Psychoanalysis and education, the Tavistock Observational Method, psychotherapy and professional development are among his main areas of teaching and research. He is a training analyst at the Austrian Association of Individual Psychology (ÖVIP) and a member of the Infant Observation Study Group Vienna.
