Shayleen Peeke

Clinical Psychologist

Shayleen Peeke, (together with Katherine Frost and Belinda Spalding-Jones), is a senior psychologist who has worked across community organisations and in private practice for over twenty years. With a special interest in Parent-child relationships and Infant Observation, she is involved in the development, training and supervision of new psychologists entering the field of psychology. She sits on the training committee for Psychoanalytic Child psychotherapy and is a Fellow and teacher for the South African College of Psychoanalytic Psychotherapists.

Shayleen has been involved in the teaching of infant observation since its inception in South Africa nearly 30 years ago and offers rich insights into the spanning influence of race and culture in South Africa.
