Child and Adolescent Psychotherapist

Dr Matthew Chuard is currently the Co-Course Lead for the pre-clinical MA Perinatal, child, adolescent and family work: a psychoanalytic observational approach at the Tavistock and Portman NHS Foundation Trust.

He also teaches psychoanalytic theory and offers clinical supervision on the Tavistock doctoral training in child psychotherapy. He originally worked as a secondary school teacher and then trained as an Educational and Child Psychologist before going on to qualify as a Child and Adolescent Psychotherapist. As a Child Psychotherapist he has worked in a number of NHS and educational settings and is currently a senior Child Psychotherapist in the Autism and Learning Disabilities team at the Tavistock.
