Ben Craik
Deputy Director, Placements and Supervision
Dr Ben Craik started as an Academic and Professional Tutor on the Educational Psychology training Course in September 2019 before taking on the Deputy Director role in January 2023. Ben has responsibility for supervision and placements for trainees on the course as well as a lead role for Year 1. Ben works as part of the senior leadership team in setting strategic direction for training programme, development planning, quality assurance and on-going accreditation and re-validation
Ben also works as an Educational Psychologist with Hackney Educational Psychology Service where he has worked since 2014, now with a specialist role working within the Virtual School for Looked After Children.
Prior to training as a psychologist Ben was a qualified teacher having taught at both a primary and secondary level within London and the South East of England.

- Doctorate in Child, Community and Educational Psychology (D.Ed.Ch. Psych) at the Tavistock and Portman NHS Foundation Trust – University of Essex
- Graduate Teacher Programme (GTP) Primary –University of Reading
- BSc Psychology – Lancaster University

- Registered Practitioner Psychologist with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC)
- Chartered Psychologist – British Psychological Society
