Biddy Youell

retired Child and Adolescent Psychotherapist

Biddy Youell is a retired Child and Adolescent Psychotherapist. Her clinical experience includes perinatal mental health, looked after children and assessments for the family courts. She is particularly committed to the application of psychoanalytic ideas in a variety of work settings.

She was a Director of the Northern School of Child Psychotherapy between 2002 and 2008, and Head of the Child Psychotherapy profession at the Tavistock Clinic between 2008 and 2016.
