Merger update: NLFT libraries

The Tavistock Library is one of two libraries forming the NLFT Library Service, following the merger of Tavistock and Portman NHS Foundation Trust with North London NHS Foundation Trust (NLFT).

There will be no immediate impact on the services and resources provided by the Tavistock Library for students or the Tavistock Education and Training staff. Our contact details will also remain the same. 

The joint library teams are already working closely together towards integrating our services in the coming months. 

NLFT Main Library – St Ann’s Hospital

The other NLFT library is NLFT Main Library, located at St Ann’s Hospital in Haringey. There are ‘pop up’ Libraries at Chase Farm and Edgware Community Hospitals to enable staff at these sites to access help and support from the NLFT Library Service. There is also a staff presence at the Highgate MH Centres on Thursdays. 

All NLFT staff (including former Tavistock and Portman staff) can access the NLFT online collection via the NLFT catalogue and the resources in the NHS Knowledge and Library Hub using an NHS OpenAthens account. If you don’t have an account, you can register for an NHS OpenAthens Account, selecting North London NHS Foundation Trust as your organisation.
