Maternal perfectionism is a common yet under diagnosed and under-researched area which can impact not only on the client maternity experience but the client-professional relationship. In this lecture we will explore the diagnosis of obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD) occurring in the perinatal period, and how modern-day socio-cultural factors may influence the desire and drive towards maternal perfectionism, regarding Donald Winnicott famously discussed concept of the ‘Good enough mother’ and aspects of parent infant bonding and attachment.

This lecture will be recorded, and a recording will be sent to registrants.
