Mental health in schools: leadership and wellbeing in primary settings
Part of a series of free webinars on mental health leadership in educational settings
Available to watch on demand
This free webinar took place on Tuesday 7 February 2023 and explored ways to support mental health and wellbeing in primary school settings.
Led by Dr Katy Cole and Ashley Grinham-Smith, our presenters discussed the topic of anxiety and how it presents within school, or through school avoidance, and shared ideas for making school feel like a safe space for learning.

The Digital Academy’s Senior mental health lead training will help you develop a personalised plan that will allow you to influence, promote and embed a whole school or college approach to positive mental health and wellbeing.
Hosted online, you’ll learn at your own pace through a combination of interactive learning elements, case studies and live sessions. And, if you work in an eligible state-funded school or college in England, you can receive funding for this course from the Department for Education – meaning your costs will be covered.
