International programme for psychiatrists (PGME)

A varied programme of lectures, seminars, unit meetings and one-to-one discussions for psychiatrists from overseas

We welcome psychiatrists from abroad to join this programme.

Visitors have the opportunity to enjoy a varied schedule of activities including lectures, seminars, unit meetings and one-to-one discussions. This is enabled by the support and guidance of senior clinical colleagues.

Visiting psychiatrists can opt for sessions in the areas of child and adolescent psychiatry and adult complex needs, often attending meetings in both relevant departments to provide a broader experience and knowledge of the Trust.

Visiting psychiatrists can participate in the programme for a minimum of two weeks up to a maximum of ten weeks (a term).

Who is this course for?

The programme is for newly qualified or experienced psychiatrists from overseas, with an advanced level of written and verbal English, who wish to enhance their professional development with a visit to the Tavistock and Portman.
