Perinatal Mental Health Practitioner, Mother and Baby Unit Outreach Practitioner and Approved Mental Health Professional (AMHP)

Juliette Kallaway is the Perinatal Practice Lead for the Perinatal Service and Jasmine Lodge Mother and Baby Unit in Devon. Juliette is a Senior Social Worker, Approved Mental Health Professional (AMHP) and has previously worked as a Perinatal Mental Health Practitioner and a Mother and Baby Unit Outreach Practitioner.

Since qualification as a Social Worker in 2000, she worked with adults and older people in Adult Primary Care Teams, Community Mental Health Teams, and within an Oncology and Palliative Care Team.

She qualified as an Approved Mental Health Professional in 2008 and worked between 2009 and 2013 as a full-time Approved Mental Health Professional in the Central AMHP in Devon. During this time, she delivered training as part of the Approved Clinician Refresher training in the South West. She joined the Perinatal Service in 2013 and have worked in Community Perinatal Mental Health Teams across Devon before moving into a full-time role as a Mother and Baby Unit Outreach Practitioner for Devon & Somerset in 2018.

Between 2010 and 2015 she delivered training on the South West Region Approved Mental Health Professional training programme entitled Perinatal Mental Health and the Mental Health Act. Since 2014, she has been delivering training in perinatal mental health as an independent trainer but also for Devon Partnership NHS Trust, Edge Training & Consultancy and the Tavistock & Portman NHS Trust to Approved Mental Health Professionals, mental health professionals, midwives, health visitors and other social care professionals.
